Grandpa's Snakefruit Garden

 

    Back when I was a child, my grandfather had a fairly large snakefruit garden. Grandpa's garden is located near the river near our house. If we want to go to the garden it only takes about 3 minutes from our house on foot. The road conditions are downhill and quite difficult, especially when the rainy season arrives, the road will be very slippery. I was very happy when my father invited me to go to the garden. Because there I will be free to choose snakefruit for me to pick. And when the season comes, we can harvest 1 to 2 sacks of snakefruit. I don't know the type of snakefruit that Grandpa planted, but it tastes sweet but has a sour taste. Grandfather never sold the produce of this garden even though the harvest was very large. Grandpa prefers to share his harvest with neighbors or anyone who wants it. When we have relatives coming from out of town, they will definitely ask us to take them to the garden and then stop by the river. Not only our relatives were very happy when invited to the garden, but my school friends were also very happy when I took them there. When I was in high school, I took my friend to the garden who at that time was playing at home. They were very happy, so when we arrived at the garden they immediately went around to pick the ripe snakefruit, then when we finished harvesting the snakefruit, we went to the river to eat the snakefruit we had picked earlier while relaxing enjoying the flow of water and the very cool air. But unfortunately now the snakefruit garden is no longer there because grandfather died and uncle cut down the snakefruit plants in the garden and replaced them with tree plants that the wood can be used as building material.
